Dutch MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo is unstoppable in Assen

Provisional pole man Jorge Lorenzo was once again on the top of the 250 timesheets at the Dutch MotoGP in Assen. 

The Spaniard went slightly slower than yesterday’s first qualifying practice with a 1:40.755, but he will not be too concerned about that with the real performance to come this afternoon.

Marco Simoncelli was the surprise rider of the session as he jumped from ninth to second this morning. However his 1:41.315 was only 0.2secs quicker than his best time yesterday afternoon.

In third place was Honda’s Andrea Dovizioso with a best time of 1:41.378.

Ireland’s Eugene Laverty was in 24th place with a best time of 1:45.280, slightly slower than in qualifying one yesterday.
