Catalunya MotoGP: Rossi to watch crunch Barcelona game
Updated: 24 November 2014
Valentino Rossi will take a break from his quest to win for a ninth time in Catalunya tomorrow by watching Barcelona’s star-studded football team in action tonight.
Barcelona play Espanyol in a crunch La Liga championship game at the famous Camp Nou stadium as they try and beat arch rivals Real Madrid to the Spanish league.
Rossi is a friend of Barcelona’s Italian defender Gianluca Zambrotta.
The 28-year-old, who goes into tomorrow’s Catalunya GP trailing series leader Casey Stoner by nine-points, is a big football fan and when Italy won last year’s World Cup final he donned an Italian shirt after his victory in the Sachsenring GP. He’s also a big Inter Milan fan.
