Marco: "right to move"

Bridgestone’s renowned front tyre has already convinced Marco Melandri that he was right to switch from Michelin at the end of last season.

The Italian has been impressed with the Bridgestone front in his two tests so far on board the new Honda RC212V 800cc machine.

He said: “The front tyre is very good for my riding style and I really like it. You get very good feedback all the time.”

He admitted though that he was still to fully assess the potential of the rear Bridgestone rubber until Honda can sort out its engine problems with the RC212V.

“For the rear it looks like the bike is a little bit too aggressive with the power delivery. With this tyre you don’t need to ride so aggressive but with this power delivery you must be aggressive to pick up the bike,” said the Gresini Honda rider.
