Melandri finding style

Italian Marco Melandri believes he is slowly adapting his style to suit the new generation 800cc machines.

The former world 250 champion has only tested Honda’s new RC212V twice and after finishing in a lowly 10th position in Sepang recently, he said there is still plenty more he needs to hone his riding style away from the old 990cc four-strokes.

“You must learn always. But I like the style of 800s and I still need to understand some things. I followed guys like Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi in Malaysia and I can see the lines are different from 990.”
