Misano MotoGP: Valentino Rossi to break silence in Misano

1 of 1

Valentino Rossi will break his silence this afternoon on the eve of his home MotoGP race in Misano.

The seven-times world champion will attend this afternoon’s pre-event press conference for the Misano MotoGP, which takes places only a short distance away from his hometown of Tavullia.

Valentino Rossi hasn’t spoken in public since it was revealed earlier this month that he is the subject of a multi-million pound tax investigation by Italian authorities.

There was a blanket ban on him talking to the media at the recent Czech Republic MotoGP race in Brno, but he will join MotoGP world championship leader Casey Stoner, reigning world champion Nicky Hayden, John Hopkins and Marco Melandri in this afternoon’s pre-event press conference, which gets underway at 4pm local time.

It has not yet been clarified whether Valentino Rossi will start his normal daily press debriefs which were cancelled in Brno to protect him from a media frenzy.

Valentino Rossi goes into this weekend’s Misano clash trailing Casey Stoner by a massive 60-points, and the 28-year-old Italian hasn’t scored a podium finish in the last three races since his stunning win from 11th on the grid in Assen at the end of June.
