New deal for organisers

IRTA and MotoGP rights holders, Dorna Sports, have signed a new agreement to prolong their relationship for a further five years.

The format of race meetings is set to continue with both parties stating they did not need to discuss much about the deal because they have such a fantastic relationship.

IRTA President Herve Poncharal said: “We have had a fantastic relationship with Dorna for a number of years and this new agreement is a step forward for the growth of the MotoGP World Championship.”

The deal was announced shortly before the final MotoGP race of the season on Sunday, October 29 in Valencia.
