Updated: 24 November 2014
Fresh from winning the coveted world 125 championship Rookie of the Year award, British teenager Bradley Smith has begun his 2007 preparations in Jerez.
The Oxfordshire rider took part in a three-day test session clocking a best time of 1.47.72 in a massive 105-lap stint on the final day.
That was less than a second slower than the fastest 125 rider at the test with Hungarian rider Gabor Talmacsi, who topped the timesheets with a best of 1.46.84.
Smith, whose best time smashed his Spanish GP best race lap by a massive 1.9s, will continue to work under the guidance of Dani Pedrosa’s mentor Alberto Puig next season.
