New Donington pits open

Biking glamour model and Celebrity Big Brother star Jodie Marsh will officially opened the new modern pit and paddock complex at British MotoGP circuit Donington Park, on Friday March 31.

More than 250 people, including members of the national and local media, local councillors and VIPs from motorsport and commerce were present to witness the unveiling.

The construction work has taken six months to complete, costing around £5 million. It has seen the provision of 38 new pit garages, a new race control, new media centre, the doubling in size of the Paddock Suite and the resurfacing of the circuit.

The first major championship to benefit from the new facilities will be round two of the British Superbike Championship on April 7-9.
