West leaves KTM

Anthony West has signed for the Keifer Racing Team for 2006, leaving KTM to ride an Aprilia in the 250cc GP championship.

The Australian had one year left on his contract with KTM as a test rider, following a 2005 highpoint of second in the torrential rain at the British GP at Donington Park.

He’ll be partnered by Dirk Heidolf, who stays with the Keifer team for a second year, under team boss Stefan Keifer.

Meanwhile Angaia Racing, who last week announced the arrival of Michael Danese, have now stated that the young Italian will not ride for them in 2006
