Rossi rules in Rio

Valentino Rossi took victory at the Brazilian GP with a masterful display of riding.

The Italian reigning MotoGP champion followed title rival Sete Gibernau in the early stages of the race before moving to the front and gradually opening up a gap on the Spaniard.

The biggest surprise of the race was the third place for Japanese rider Makoto Tamada, on the Bridgestone-shod Pramac Honda. Max Biaggi settled for a fourth place in front of American Nicky Hayden
