Kawasaki GP prototype tests chassis at Suzuka

Kawasaki’s four-stroke GP machine prototype debuted a new aluminium twin-spar chassis at the Suzuka tests.

On the day that the factory unveiled concept images of the new ZX-RR machine(see right) tester Kazuki Shimizu was clocking up the miles on the new chassis with a tuned WSB spec four-cylinder motor. Kawsaki has confirmed it will run an in-line four in the new chassis and that the capacity will be just inside the regulation limit of 990cc.
