Checa extends contract with Yamaha

Carlos Checa has extended his contract with Yamaha to run for another two years. He will continue the ride the YZR-M1 that has taken him to fifth so far this season. The 29-year old Spaniard has raced for Yamaha since 1999.

His team-mate Max Biaggi has decided not to re-new his own contract for 2003. You’ll be able to find out more in MCN, out August 7.
