Laconi lands Aprilia GP four-stroke ride
Updated: 24 November 2014
Regis Laconi will ride the gorgeous Aprilia four-stroke GP bike in next season’s world championship.
It seems his one-off victory in last year’s final WSB round did him a truck load of favours.
He may only have finished 11th overall on the RSV, but the 26-year-old is rated by the factory.
He told MCN: ” I saw the RS3 990 for the first time last week and couldn’t believe how incredible it looks. I’d be very happy to ride it next year. ”
Laconi’s Aprilia four-stroke experience and his time on Dunlop tyres, plus his knowledge of the 16GP circuits gained with the Red Bull Yamaha team in 2000, will have helped sway Aprilia.
