Jaimie van Sikkelerus will remain in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship next season after signing a new deal with TAG Honda.

The Dutch rider will step up onto a full superbike in 2025 after spending his maiden campaign onboard a Pathway-spec Fireblade.

Van Sikkelerus moved into the superbike class after finishing fifth overall in the British Supersport Championship, celebrating one victory and one further podium onboard his Yamaha R6. However, his debut BSB campaign came to a premature end in July due to knee surgery.

“I’m so proud to work together with TAG Honda again for 2025, this time on a full Superbike,” van Sikkelerus said. “The team feels like family and 2024 was a tough year with my knee problems and subsequent operations. I am very thankful for their belief in me and I am ready to take this amazing opportunity to race the full Superbike, and show exactly what we can do.

“It’s truly the best Championship to be involved in, and I’m very excited to get started. I need to send a massive thank you to my sponsors and my supporters who have been with me every single step of this journey.”

Gary Winfield, Team Manager added: “There’s never been any doubt that Jaimie has everything it takes to succeed in Superbikes. The Pathway machine was the right step from Supersport, however with his injury complications; he just couldn’t physically commit the way he would have like to – although his mind and his heart were fully in it!

“Next season on the superbike will be the one to watch as he continues to make great progress following surgery and we are all delighted to have Jaimie on board for next season.”

Fraser Rogers has already been confirmed on the other side of the garage after securing a best result of sixth on two occasions in 2024. Rogers’ campaign was also hampered by injury following a motocross incident.

“This has no doubt been a rollercoaster of a year,” Rogers said at the time of the announcement. “Starting the season in Navarra having never ridden the bike showed immediate promise and we got to work. The bike was really starting to feel like my own when the training incident happened.

“However, the team have been in full support throughout and it feels like a great fit to go again in 2025 with TAG Honda so I can really pursue the dream. None of this would have been possible without a solid team around me, my wonderful family and the unwavering support from Steve Buckenham at Morello Flat Roofing Services.”
