Billy McConnell has confirmed his spot on the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship grid with the C&L Fairburn Properties/Look Forward Racing Honda team.

The Aussie remains with the team for a second consecutive campaign onboard the Honda Fireblade, having enjoyed a successful return to the Superbike class in 2024. Together, they celebrated a podium at Thruxton, as well as eighth top 10 finishes.

“I am really looking forward to next year; 2024 was a big challenge for us having not ridden in the Superbike class for several years,” McConnell said. “We gained some brilliant information and knowledge, and it will be great to be with the same team, same bike and same crew around me.

“A huge thanks to the C&L Fairburn Properties Look Forward team for giving me this fantastic opportunity again for 2025 and we can’t wait to get going.”

Team owner Chris Fairburn added: “We had a great season in 2024 and very proud of what we managed to achieve in our first year in the Bennetts British Superbike class with Billy.”

“We can’t wait to put all this information towards our 2025 campaign and hopefully fight for some more podiums and wins. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Martin for coming on board but also to all our loyal and new sponsors for the new season. Roll on May!”

McConnell is one of several Honda riders on the 2025 grid as teams seek to move up the grid onboard the Fireblade. DAO Racing switched from Kawasaki power and will have Josh Brookes and Lee Jackson onboard their Fireblades.

Hawk Racing remain with Honda and today (December 23) announced the arrival of former Moto3 race rider John McPhee alongside Charlie Nesbitt. The factory team will once again be represented by Tommy Bridewell and Andrew Irwin, whilst Fraser Rogers and Jaime van Sikkelerus remain at TAG Honda.

Luke Hedger stays put at Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda, whilst double South African Supersport Champion Blaze Baker will make his BSB debut with NP Racing Honda. Scott Swann moves into the Superbike class with IWR Racing Honda.
