Lovell Kent Racing Honda’s livery have been unveiled ahead of the team’s debut campaign in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Danny Kent represents the team in the Superbike class, onboard a Honda Fireblade, following his departure from Hawk Racing. The 2015 Moto3 World Champion has been hampered by injuries so far in his short BSB career, but does have one podium on his record (Thruxton, 2021).

Kent ended his 2022 campaign positively with a sixth and two eighths are Brands Hatch, with sixth being his best result of the year.

Meanwhile, Danny’s brother, Kieran Kent will compete onboard the team’s Yamaha R6 in the Pirelli Junior Superstock Championship.

Both rider’s bikes will certainly stand out on track thanks to the new livery. A white base is complemented by dashes of pink and purple.

“I am excited and motivated to get out to Spain and ride the Honda for the very first time,” Danny Kent said. “Normally I’d say it’s been a long winter break, but with me being involved in the team, I know how much hard work and money has been put in. Starting a new team from scratch, I think everyone involved has done an amazing job.

“We have testing in Spain coming up, which is important for me and the crew to understand the Honda so that when we come to round one at Silverstone, we are ready.”

Kieran Kent has already been to Spain to complete an initial shakedown ahead of his maiden campaign in the Junior Superstock class. The younger Kent brother completed in the Junior Supersport category in 2022, ending his campaign fourth overall with eight podiums.

“I am looking forward to representing the team and all my sponsors during the 2023 season,” Kieran said. “Hats off to everyone involved, I am now concentrating on getting over to Spain and spinning some laps onboard the Yamaha R6. I am grateful for this opportunity and looking forward my debut season in Junior Superstock.”

Prior to joining forces with Danny Kent, D&P Lovell, a family-run business that specialises in the construction machinery sector, was a personal sponsor of the former Grand Prix racer.

“After all the hard work over the winter period it’s great to see everything taking shape,” Team Owner Allen Lovell added. “The whole team is looking forward to the season ahead and I am personally looking forward to seeing the bikes in our company’s colours competing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.”

The first official BSB pre-season test takes place at Navarra, Spain, on March 11-13.
