BSB: Joe Sheldon-Shaw joins NP Racing BMW for 2022 season

Joe Sheldon-Shaw will make his full-time debut in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this year after signing for NP Racing BMW.

The 22-year-old made sporadic appearances last season, making his BSB debut with Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki at Donington Park (Round five). He raced onboard the Kawasaki again at the following round (Cadwell Park), before returning for the three Showdown rounds with iForce Lloyd & Jones BMW.

Sheldon-Shaw’s best result during those five rounds was 15th at Cadwell Park. When he wasn’t racing in the Superbike class, Sheldon-Shaw competed in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, taking a best result of 14th at Knockhill.

“I’m very excited to be able to get a full season under my belt in the Superbike class with the NP Racing BMW team,” Sheldon-Shaw said. “We will be trying our best and take it step by step to make progress throughout the season.

“I’m so grateful that Neil and all of my family, friends and sponsors have made this possible and I can’t thank each and every one of them enough.”

The first official test for the 2022 BSB season takes place at Snetterton on March 26-27 and will be followed by further tests at Donington Park (March 31), Silverstone (April 6-7), and Oulton Park (April 21).

Round one of the 2022 season takes place at Silverstone on April 15-17.
