BSB: FS-3 Racing Kawasaki unveil retro livery for 2022

FS-3 Racing Kawasaki have unveiled a retro livery for their 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship campaign.

The official BSB Kawasaki squad revealed their new covers at the Carol Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show this morning. The new design has been created due to the positive reaction to Jonathan Rea’s ZX-7RR-inspired livery at the Argentinian World Superbike round last year.

This year’s livery is a matte green, blue, and white number. Within the white section of the fairings, the word Kawasaki is spelt out in blue, whilst ZX-10RR branding can be seen on the fuel tank in black and blue. Each rider’s number is set on a blue background as well.

“Having witnessed the incredibly positive feedback from racing fans across the globe after seeing Jonathan’s machine in Argentina, and then on our standard road bike at Motorcycle Live on the Kawasaki stand, we knew we had to see it on track in the UK this year,” Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK, said.

“The guys at FS-3 Racing also fell in love with the design and are excited to see Lee and Rory debut the new look on track at round one in April later this year.”

Lee Jackson and Rory Skinner will remain with the team this year. Jackson cruelly missed out on a spot in the Showdown last season, but was able to secure a podium at Donington Park.

Meanwhile, rookie Skinner impressed in his first year with the highlight being a double podium at his home circuit, Knockhill. The Scot secured a pair of second places in only his second Superbike race meeting, eventually ending the year 13th overall.

The first official BSB test takes place at Snetterton on March 26-27, and will be followed by a one-day test at Donington on March 31. Silverstone then holds a two-day test on April 6-7, with the new season kicking off at Silverstone on April 15-17.
