Liam Delves has re-signed with the Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki team ahead of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season.

Delves made his debut with the team this year after jumping from the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship, where he’d been a podium finisher at Thruxton and Brands Hatch. Delves ended that campaign sixth overall.

In his maiden BSB campaign Delves secured a best finish of 16th at Snetterton, narrowly missing out on some championship points. The 22-year-old finished inside the top 20 on seven occasions onboard his Kawasaki.

“I’m excited to be signing for a second season with the Rapid CDH Racing squad. I’m really looking forward to Spanish testing and can’t wait to start next year with a season under my belt. I just want to say a massive thank you to my personal sponsors and all the people that believe in me.”

Team Owner, Dean Hipwell added: Liam made the huge step from Superstock 600s into the Superbike class for 2022 and set some good lap times throughout the year.

“With a season completed, we know the areas of improvement, and we’ll both be working on those during winter period in preparation for testing. Thank you to all our team partners who continue to work with us, their support is fantastic, and we couldn’t do it without them.”

Delves is the latest rider to be confirmed on the 2023 BSB grid, which already includes four rookies. Davey Todd will make the step up from the Superstock class with the Milenco by Padgetts Honda team, whilst Max Cook and Bradley Perie will both be on Kawasaki machinery after signing for Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Racing and Lee Hardy Racing respectively.

Tim Neave will also make his full-time debut at McAMS Yamaha following 2021 champion Tarran Mackenzie’s departure. Neave will ride the R1 for the first time since the announcement in Spain this week, alongside OMG Racing duo Kyle Ryde and Ryan Vickers.
