BSB: Bennetts to continue as title sponsors in 2021 and 2022

Bennetts have agreed a new deal with British Superbike promoter MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) and will continue as title sponsors for the next two seasons.

The insurance company were originally title sponsors between 2005 and 2008, before returning to the series in 2018. The new deal will see Bennetts as the title sponsors for the 2021 and 2022 BSB campaigns.

“Naturally, we are very happy to reach a new deal with Bennetts: it really is a partnership between MSVR and Bennetts and the plans for 2021 and 2022 are incredibly exciting as, together, we will introduce new ways to help engage with riders and race fans,” BSB series director Stuart Higgs commented.

“This new agreement makes Bennetts the most dedicated title sponsor in the series’ 25-year history and there are more announcements coming to show how this relationship will develop for the coming seasons.”

The 2021 season marks the 25th Anniversary of the British championship’s reboot in 1996. As things stand the season is due to begin at Oulton Park on May 29-31 and will consist of 11 rounds set across the UK.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns and restrictions, Assen has been excluded from this year’s calendar.

The Showdown also returns this year with eight riders now able to qualify for the championship shootout. Each round will also consist of three races following the positive feedback from the 2020 season.
