BSB: Dixon: 'I need to win all three races'

Jake Dixon has said he’ll do everything possible to put himself in a position to win the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike championship this weekend, but admits the title is now Haslam’s to lose.

The RAF Regular and Reserves Kawasaki rider sits 61 points behind Haslam in the title chase, meaning Haslam could well wrap the title up in Saturday’s opening race, but should he not, Dixon wants to be in the best position possible to fight for the crown.

Should Haslam fail to score in at least one of the three races, Dixon could still be in with a shout of clinching the crown so knows he needs to maximise his results from all three outings to be in with a chance.

“As a team we have had an unbelievable season but there are still three races to be won this weekend at Brands Hatch,” Dixon said. “That’s my focus going into the final round and I’m going to give it everything I have to end the season in the best way we possibly can.
“The title is in Leon’s hands now, all I can do is make sure I do what I need to do to be in the position to fight should things come our way, and that means winning three races – if I do everything I can do, then it’s down to him!”
