The McAMS Yamaha team will run a special livery for tomorrow’s two Bennetts British Superbike races to celebrate 20 years of the YZF-R1.

Josh Brookes and Tarran Mackenzie, who were second and third quickest on Friday, will campaign the striking red and white, original R1 livery on their race bikes on Sunday.

The special livery is part of a series of celebrations for the R1’s 20th anniversary, which includes a display of successful YZF-R1 machinery on the Yamaha stand in the Brands Hatch trade area, including Ben Spies’ 2009 World Superbike winning bike, Nori Haga’s 2006 World Superbike, Steve Plater’s 2004 BSB machine, Josh Brookes’ title winning Milwaukee Yamaha, an original 1998 YZF-R1 and Valentino Rossi’s 2018 YZR-M1.
