BSB: Buildbase Suzuki kick 2018 off at Cartagena

Buildbase Suzuki began their preparations for the 2018 British Superbike Championship early with a shake down test for their new line-up of Bradley Ray and Richard Cooper in Cartagena last week.

With five bikes between the two riders, the factory Suzuki effort were testing radically different set-ups as they the direction they will take ahead of the 2018 season kicking off at Donington Park in April.

Determined to further the single race victory they achieved with the all new GSX-R1000 in 2017, the Mallory Park-based team even back-to-back tested Ohlins suspension with the Bitubo products they used last year.

“I’d like to thank my team for getting us out testing so early in the year, it’s nice to be in this position already,” Cooper said after two days on track.

“The test was a really busy one for both Brad and I as we’ve had a fair number of new parts to test and try. The bike and team have shown great potential and very good pace which is nice to see. I’m still not 100% happy with my set-up but at least we are now in a good position to go back to the workshop in the UK, analyse the data and prepare for the next test.”
