STK: McConnell and Reid share spoils at Brands

Buildbase Suzuki’s Billy McConnell continued his stronghold on the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship lead with victory and third place at Brands Hatch Indy.

The win in Saturday’s opening race went the way of EHA Aprilia’s Andy Reid, who established himself as a series front runner with his second win of the year ahead of Keith Farmer and McConnell.

Aussie McConnell came out fighting in race two to build a 1.4 second lead ahead of Quinnstheprinters BMW’s Chrissy Rouse with Reid rounding out his strong weekend with a third position.

McConnell now leads the series by 16 points over Reid with Tyco BMW’s Keith Farmer third overall after the first two rounds.
