BSB: Ray: 'I've got more to give'

Donington Park double race winner Bradley Ray is confident of continuing his front-running form as the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship resumes at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The 20-year-old bagged two top ten finishes in just his second BSB round at the Brands Indy circuit in 2017, and he reckons the experience he’s gained since then and the steps taken with the bike through the winter he can again challenge at the front as he sets about proving that Donington wasn’t a one off.

“I don’t mind Brands Indy, it’s not one of my favourites but last year we got an eighth and a tenth there in the second race of the year so I’m feeling pretty confident,” he told MCN. “With the results we got last year and the improvements we’ve made with the bike I feel we can be strong.

“At Donington, the first race was bone dry, the second race was iffy conditions, warm-up was piss wet through and every time we’ve been out we’ve been around the top six and that’s a big confidence boost. We’ve got good pace in all conditions which bodes well for the rest of the year. It’s difficult to gauge it on the first round with everyone getting into the swing of things, but I’ve got more to give too so I hope we can be there at the end of the year.”
