BSB: Mossey determined to end year on a high

1 of 1

Luke Mossey is determined to end 2017 on a high after a horrific high-side at Thruxton ruled him out of the title fight.

Mossey missed four races after breaking his back in four places earlier this year, but even when he returned he wasn’t at full fitness and the injury hampered him at the Silverstone and Oulton Park rounds.

Bad luck struck the young gun last time out at Assen, but he’s determined to put that behind him and end the season on a high ahead of getting back into the mix in 2018.

“I can’t believe it’s the last round of the year,” Mossey said. “I really want to end the season on a high and Brands is a great venue for us as it’s where I took my first double earlier this year.

“My back is now feeling great, it’s been about two and a half months so I’d say it’s fully healed. We’re going into the weekend with the aim of getting a rostrum.

“I want to come home with a trophy and shake things up in the Showdown and with it being a triple header we’ve got a few chances.”
