Gallery: Guintoli makes Bennetts Suzuki debut

It might have been a cold and wet Februrary afternoon at Mallory Park, but that didn’t stop Sylvain Guintoli getting his first taste of the Bennetts Suzuki GSX-R1000 he’ll ride in the MCE British Superbike Championship this season. 

The 2014 World Superbike Champion completed around 40 laps in his first shakedown team with the Hawk Racing run Bennetts Suzuki outfit. However, it’s not the Frenchman’s first outing on the GSX-R – he previously spent three days in Sepang testing with the Yoshimura Suzuki team.

It’s thought the bike was still running a stock engine but featured BSB’s Motec-spec electronics including the new auto-blipper system permitted within the series rules for the first time this year.
