BSB: Iddon: 'It's time to show what we could have done'
Tyco BMW’s Christian Iddon set out to prove what could have been by storming to the top of the timesheets in practice at Donington Park.
The 31-year-old may have missed out on a Showdown spot but was quick in both wet and dry conditions at the Derbyshire track, lapping 0.4 seconds under the lap record to beat Showdown contender Luke Mossey to the top spot.

“It’s time to go out and show that we should have been there,” he told MCN. “It’s been a difficult mid-part to the season so it’s nice to be back on top today. I was quick in the damp this morning and felt really good on the bike this afternoon, I got in a real nice flow. I tried to ride around on my own and just enjoyed riding my bike again.
“It’s unfortunate we’re not in the Showdown but I’m just planning to enjoy it. It’s early days but my run was good so we’ll go back out in the morning and check for tyre life. We ran both the hard and the soft and they were quite similar.”
