Stalker shocks on sidecar debut

MCE British Superbike fans’ favourite Chris Walker impressed on his three-wheeled debut at Oulton Park this weekend, taking a stunning sixth place in the first sidecar race of the season.

The veteran superbike racer opted to make a shock switch to sidecars this season in a bid to extend his racing career and didn’t disappoint.

Fast in both wet and dry conditions across the weekend, Walker and former World Champion passenger Ashley Hawes fought hard in the race to cross the line in sixth, whetting Walker’s appetite for further sidecar success.

“I’m mega pleased with top six – I’d have never have dreamed of that before the weekend,” Walker confessed. “I always want more though – I was fourth in warm-up and wanted to go faster in the race! It was a good weekend, it was a safe weekend, and I gelled well with Ashley.
