Buildbase BMW rider Ryuichi Kiyonari will miss MCE British Superbike pre-season testing for the second season in a row, after visa problems prevented the Japanese rider from returning to the UK from Japan in time to join the team.

Instead, his initial testing work on the new-for-2015 BMW S1000RR will be taken over by rookie teammate Lee Jackson, with Kiyonari set to test in the UK as soon as he returns to his Lincolnshire base for the season.

The team were set to kick off a solid two weeks of Spanish testing for the BSB paddock, with Buildbase joining PBM Kawasaki and Quattro Plant Kawasaki for three days at Almeria. The action then moves up the coast to Cartagena, where Tyco BMW, Halsall Suzuki and JG Speedfit Kawasaki make their 2015 debuts.

The following week sees a number of teams running private testing, with Milwaukee Yamaha joining a Yamaha Europe test at Alcarras, Anvil Hire TAG Kawasaki taking to Jerez, and Honda’s BSB riders teaming up with roadracers John McGuinness and Conor Cummins as well as the World Endurance squad at Monteblanco.
