Honda Racing confirm Da Costa for Oulton Park

Honda Racing have confirmed that Julien Da Costa will replace the injured Jason O’Halloran for the next round of the 2015 MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park in ten days time.

Coming in after O’Halloran was ruled out of action after a Thruxton qualifying crash, the triple World Endurance champion says he can’t wait to return to the bike he helped developed during the team’s sabbatical in 2014.

“I’m really looking forward to coming back to BSB again; it’s just a shame that it’s in the circumstance it is with Jason being injured. Oulton Park is probably one of the most difficult circuits in the championship, so I know it won’t be easy but I will do my best for Jason and also the team. I think we can use the opportunity to try some different settings and continue the development work of the Fireblade.”

And while the Frenchman has only been confirmed for the next round of the series at Oulton – and will miss Assen due to a clash with the Endurance series – it’s believed that he will also return for the final two rounds of the year at Silverstone and Brands Hatch as O’Halloran continues his road to full fitness.
