Snetterton BSB: Brookes clinches pole position

Josh Brookes has secured pole position for the British Superbike round at Snetterton by the narrowest of margins, edging out Michael Laverty by just 0.001 seconds.

The Australian Tyco Suzuki rider’s time of 1:48.490 proved just enough, with Laverty’s Samsung Honda followed closely by the Swan Yamaha of Tommy Hill.

Graeme Gowland, Alex Lowes and Noriyuki Haga were all close behind, followed by the Rapid PBM Kawasaki due of Shane Byrne and Stuart Easton.

Tommy Bridewell, Ian Lowry and Dan Linfoot all suffered from crashes, starting 10th, 19th and 20th respectively.
