Knockhill BSB: Rain stops play

1 of 1

As forecast, the rain kicked in at Knockhill just ten minutes into the second free practice session, ahead of round six of the ViSK British Superbike Championship.

In the dry it was Glen Richards who set the pace with a 49.668secs lap time, an improvement on his morning session where he lapped in 50.002secs aboard his HM Plant Honda. As the rain continued to fall he stayed on a fast pace and would have topped the time sheets if the wet times had counted.

Glen Richards said: “It was ok but the rain interrupted the session. We made some changes and everything is working well but it was early days as not everyone put in a fast lap. I was four tenths faster than this morning so that is a good improvement .In the wet my bike was good, nice.”

Free practice two results:

1. Glen Richards 49.668
2. Julien Da Costa 49.763
3. Josh Brookes 49.799
4. Leon Camier 49.828
5. Chris Walker 49.858
6. John Laverty 50.120
7. Michael Rutter 50.125
8. James Ellison 50.145
9. Ian Lowry  50.160
10. Gary Mason 50.379
