Knockhill BSB: Positive start for MSS Colchester Kawasaki

1 of 1

Nick Morgan, Team Manager of MSS Colchester Kawasaki was pleased with his team’s positive start to the sixth round of the ViSK British Superbike Championship at Knockhill in Scotland.

Simon Andrews, fresh from his top ten finish at Donington Park World Superbikes, ran in third place for a large part of the session before a late charge from James Ellison pushed him back to fourth place.

His team-mate Julien Da Costa finished just outside the top ten in 11th position which a reasonable start as the Frenchman has never experienced Knockhill or Scotland before.

Morgan said: “That was a very positive session. Simon is coming off the back of Donington World Superbikes so all very positive and that shows in the times. It was good fro Julien too as this is his first time in Scotland and he is only 0.6secs off Camier’s time.

“I’m very pleased we’ve a bit of work to do but nothing massive. They both have a bit of a grip issue but once more rubber goes down on the track it will get better.”
