Official GSE Racing history

GSE Racing, the most successful British superbike race team of all time, has released a limited edition book, ‘From Diggers to Ducatis,’ charting the history of the team since its inception in 1996.

But more than recounting the amazing success story of Darrell Healey’s race team, this is book about the history of Ducati in superbike racing.

Healey’s GSE Group of construction companies introduced GSE Racing to the BSB world in 1996 and in the 13 seasons since, the team has become the most successful in British superbike racing history, with four championship titles using the Italian-built v-twins, countless race wins, and a reputation for producing world champions Troy Bayliss, Neil Hodgson and James Toseland.

Written by respected motorcycle racing wordsmith David Miller, ‘From Diggers to Ducatis’ offers 147 pages of unrivalled access into the team’s amazing success story, with stunning photography provided by Double Red and contributions from the team’s past and present riders including Bayliss, Toseland and the team’s most recent BSB champion, Shane Byrne.

Those who wish to find out how GSE Racing brought Troy Bayliss to the world’s attention or how Colin Wright snatched Gregorio Lavilla from under the noses of a rival Suzuki team, plus little known amusing anecdotes such as the ‘James Toseland and the ants’ incident or Leon Haslam burying a hire car at Guadix, should go to www.dread.cc where ‘From Diggers to Ducatis’ is on sale for £39.99, including UK delivery.

With just 800 copies produced for sale, they’re not expected to be available for long.
