Brands Hatch British Superbikes: Rob McElnea comments on Karl Harris absence

The paddock looked on in confusion yesterday as it was announced Karl Harris would not be riding for the remainder of the weekend and Superstock rider Jon Kirkham would take his seat on the Rob Mac racing Yamaha R1.

It later emerged that Harris had personal problems, and here’s what team boss Rob McElnea had to say.
 
“The whole team is totally gutted,” said McElnea. “We were all on such a high, Karl had been riding so well, consistently fast all weekend.
 
“We wish Karl well and hope things get sorted for him, it’s such a shame that he won’t get the chance to end this nightmare season on a high.”
