British Supersport: James Webb on a warning after Thruxton crash

1 of 1

Padgetts Honda’s James Webb has been given a slap on the wrist by race organisers after his big off at Thruxton that also took out former Padgetts man, Dennis Hobbs.

Hobbs, now riding for Centurion Racing, was catapulted off his machine as he turned into Club chicane by Webb, sending the pair and their machines cartwheeling into the hay bails.

Dave Francis, Judicial Clerk of the Course, determined James Webb breached MCRCB regulations for both careless riding in the course of a meeting and making comments on TV that were likely to bring the sport into disrepute.

Webb could face a two-race ban if he puts a foot wrong before July 31st after he apologised to Dennis Hobbs during the Judicial Hearing.
