Bridewell sister to do charity skydive in memory of brother Ollie

Charlotte Bridewell has announced she will do a charity skydive to raise money for Cancer Research in memory of her brother Ollie Bridewell who died at Mallory Park nearly a year ago.

It will be a year ago on Sunday that Ollie Bridewell died during a practice session at the Leicestershire circuit, and money raised by his sister is going to be donated to his favourite charity.

The opportunity to do a skydive was offered to 24-year old Charlotte by the Red Devils Parachute Display Team.

“I said it as a bit of a joke to start off with, then I thought ‘why not?’, as Ollie was always getting into scrapes and this is something he would have no doubt been up for,” said Charlotte ahead of her jump on September 8th.

“At the same time, it’s an ideal opportunity to raise money for the local breast cancer charity as my dad’s mum died of the disease and that’s why we all support this.

“Part of me is bricking it but at the same time, I can’t wait!”

And also as a tribute to Ollie, the Chris Jones Riders Fund has pledged to donate half of the money they raise this weekend at Oulton Park to the cancer charity.

Anyone wanting to sponsor Charlotte on her jump can do so by making a deposit to the Devizes Area Cancer Research account or by sending a cheque.

Any cheques should be made payable to ‘Devizes Area Committee of Cancer Research UK’ to the following address: Wayside Garage, Etchilhampton, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 3JT.

And to pay directly into the charity account the details are as follows:

Branch: Lloyds Devizes, SN10
Sort Code: 30-92-63
Account No: 03338968
Name: Devizes Area Committee of Cancer Research UK
