British Superbike Almeria test: Leon Haslam - we could be here a month and not get through everything

1 of 1

Leon Haslam says the team has their work cut out for them in Spain during the final day of the Almeria test before heading on to Guadix for another three days on track later this week.

Haslam was quickest on day one and second to Shane Byrne on the Airwaves Ducati yesterday, but despite stringing a number of fast 1.36 laps round the southern Spain circuit says there’s plenty more to do.

He has managed to top the timesheets at the end of the final day before the British superbike teams head off to Guadix and he said: “We’re working hard and playing around with many different things.

“The times have been good so far considering how early days it is with the new bike, but the Fireblade feels really good out of the box.

“We’ve got a long way to go yet though and many more things to test.”

Unofficial times from Almeria:

Leon Haslam 1:36.4
Shane Byrne 1:36.7
Cal Crutchlow 1:36.8
Michael Rutter 1:37.7
Tom Sykes 1:37.8
Atsushi Watanabe 1:37.9
Leon Camier 1:38.2
