British Superbikes Donington Park: Rider reshuffle for BSB rounds 23 and 24 at Donington Park

Injuries and end of season deals have made a few notable changes to the entry lists at the Bennetts British Superbike round at Donington Park this weekend.

Bike Animal Honda has promoted their Supersport rider Ian Hutchinson into the BSB position to fill the gap left by the injured Leon Camier.

Hutchinson’s ride has been filled by Steve Brogan who will also race in his usual spot in British Superstock too this weekend.

Marty Nutt will partner Tommy Hill on the Virgin Mobile Yamaha to fill the vacant space in the team after Nutt has competed most of the season in the privateer championship on a 2006 ex-Virgin Yamaha YZF-R1.

Aaron Zanotti will move off his SMT Yamaha to ride in the Hydrex Honda team this weekend as part of a deal that will see the SMT team buy the bikes ridden by Karl Harris this season to run next year.

Taking Zanotti’s place will be John Ingram on the SMT Yamaha, while BSB veteran Sean Emmett will be aboard Dean Thomas’ spare Samsung Suzuki to make up a two-man team for the weekend.

Conor Cummins has joined the Millsport Racing team for the weekend riding a Yamaha R1 tuned by Race Techniques, the same tuner that works on the Jentin bikes.

Jon Kirkham will also be replacing Simon Andrews of the Jentin Yamaha after Andrews broke his collarbone at Cadwell and Tommy Bridewell has returned to the Team NB racing squad for the first time after the tragic death of brother Ollie at Mallory Park back in July.
