Another 1098 in Superstock
The Buildbase Ducati team of Keiran Clarke and John Laverty won’t be the only ones running 1098s in the National Superstock series this year.
Michael Pensavalle, the 27 year-old from Low Moor, Bradford, is also racing one of the all-new Ducatis in the series.
So dedicated to this new venture Pensavalle has sold his car and caravan in order to finance the purchase of the all-new Ducati.
He said “After a nightmare 2006 season, with the collapse of NY Racing, and then the shoulder injury, I was ready to call it a day and maybe just do the odd race. Then, with the offer of help from Billy Langton of WLRacing, I decided to contest the full 2007 season on the 1098. I can’t wait to test the bike and then start racing again at Brands at Easter.
The last time Pensavalle rode a Ducati was in 2004, and he’s hoping to repeat the success he had, riding a 996 Ducati to the New Era Club Sound of Thunder title and runner-up place in the Pro Bike Championship.
