Jarvis dominates Red Bull Hare Scramble at Erzberg

Brit Graham Jarvis has dominated the main event at the Erzbergrodeo, the Red Bull Hare Scramble, cruising to victory with relative ease to take what he described afterwards as the best win of his career by over 30 minutes.

Husqvarna rider Jarvis was able to make a break early, and his opposition never saw him again as he disappeared clear of American Cody Webb and Spaniard Alfredo Gómez, three of only nine finishers from the 500 starters.

Fellow Spaniard Mario Roman was fourth, but 18 year old rookie Billy Bolt helped make it a great day for the Brits by taking fifth, ahead of South African Wade Young and Paul Bolton, the third Brit in the nine finishers.

Pre-race favourite and five-time winner Taddy Blazusiak didn’t have as good a day, however, after an early crash smashed his clutch master cylinder and left him to nurse it home in eighth, while German Philipp Scholz was the final man to make it home inside the four-hour time limit.
