Red Bull Straight Rhythm returns for 2015

Red Bull’s novel Straight Rhythm motocross event will return in 2015, with the biggest stars of the off-road world lining up – literally – to take each other on the straight line dirt track event.

The event sees top motocross and Supercross stars like Travis Pastrana and the currently-banned James ‘Bubba’ Stewart – whose drug ban sees him return in time for the race – take each other on in head to head races on the unique half mile long straight line course at California’s Auto Cross Raceway.

This year’s format will feature 24 riders broken up into two classes – 16 riders in the Open Class and 8 riders in the Lites Class (less that 250cc).  Riders will race in a head-to-head, best-of-three bracket format.  By isolating just the whoops, doubles, table tops and step on/offs, this format demands that riders focus exclusively on reading the terrain in front of them and correctly judging their speed / throttle input for precise distance and control over the features.
