Blazusiak triumphs yet again in Finland

Taddy Blazusiak has triumphed yet again in the FIM superEnduro championship’s first visit to Finland, making a last lap pass claim overall victory from American Cody Webb. Brit Johnny Walker was third, taking the race win in the night’s second stage.

It was Webb who took victory in the first race of the night, taking his first win by muscling past defending champion Blazusiak on the last lap, while Manxman David Knight was third despite an early mistake.

Speaking afterwards, the Polish rider said: “It’s fantastic to come away with the overall win again. It was a tough night – the racing was seriously close. I made some mistakes and really had to work for it. Getting the win in the final race was awesome but then capping the night off with the top step of the podium was even better.”

However, Knighter once again courted controversy after contact between him and Blazusiak in the third race left the Manxman, who had got the holeshot to lead, down and out of contention. Suffering from flu all weekend that left him not up to his full potential, he took to Twitter afterwards to make it clear how he felt.
