Stars line up for Superprestigio II

Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez is set to lead a whole host of stars from every discipline of two wheels this weekend for the second running of the revived Superprestigio in Barcelona. One of eleven world champions, the Spaniard is also joined by a host of top Brits.

Main contender for the title is reigning champion and AMA flat track champion brad ‘the Bullet’ Baker, but he’ll see real opposition this year from his fellow off-road specialists, with three time AMA champion Jared Mees, five-time Superenduro world champion Tadeusz ‘Taddy’ Blazusiak and four time Enduro world champion Iván Cervantes all entered.

From the world of circuit racing, Marc Marquez is joined by Moto2 champion Tito Rabat, Moto3 champion Alex Marquez, and, most excitingly, three time World Superbike champion and current Australian dirt track champion Troy Bayliss.

The British contingent is led by TT star Guy Martin, but he’s also joined by MotoGP riders Scott Redding and Bradley Smith. 2014 British Dirt Track Champion Tim Neave is also on the entry list, joined by championship runner-up and twin brother Tom.

The action kicks off at 1700 tomorrow Saturday 13th December, with full coverage in next Wednesday 17th December’s bumper Christmas Motorcycle News.
