Northern Irish racers head to Assen

Ulsterman Jeremy McWilliams’ Superbike Academy team will field two of Northern Irelands’ hottest young racing talents at next weeks Assen round of the IDM German Supersport championship.

Glenn Irwin, 19, from Carrickfergus will ride McWilliams’ Direct CCTV Honda following the ex-MotoGP racers move to the KTM Superbike team for the remaining three rounds of the German superbike series.

McWilliams will be dividing his time between his Superbike duties and guiding Glenn and IDM regular 15-year-old Josh Elliott throughout the weekend.

The young racers tested with McWilliams at Assen recently and the team are confident both riders will be at the front of the field for the IDM round.
