Michael Schumacher on track in Germany again this weekend

Seven-times Formula One champion Michael Schumacher is set to make another appearance in the German Superbike championship this weekend (May 31-June 1, 2008).

The news of his appearance comes just two weeks after his superbike debut at Oschersleben, which saw him crash out of race two when he was heading towards a top-twenty finish.

But after finishing 28th in race one, the 39-year-old has entered the Nurburgring round of the same series.

Once again, he’ll be riding for the Holzhauer Honda squad, the current title holders, as a guest rider, meaning he can’t score points.

Despite running in two consecutive superbike races in Germany, Schumacher still claims he is only doing it as a hobby and has no intentions to enter a race championship on a points-scoring basis.
