William Dunlop considers quitting road racing

William Dunlop is on the verge of quitting motorcycle road racing, following the death of his father Robert Dunlop during practice for the North West 200 last week.

The rider said he hasn’t completely made up his mind to quit road racing, but would consider competing in short-circuit races if he does.

William Dunlop’s brother Michael Dunlop won the North West 200 250cc race that Robert Dunlop was due to race in on Saturday. William was also lined up to take part in the race, but retired with a mechanical problem before the race started.
