First time at the North West 200

1 of 1

On Friday 16th May myself and eight mates set off for our first visit to Northern Ireland for the North West 200.

We rode from South Yorkshire to Cairnryan in Scotland onto the ferry over to Ireland and rode the A2 coast road up to Portrush wow some of the best roads ive ever riden.

A quick change out of the leathers to find the party was well under way and everyone having a good time with plenty of beer flowing,we found it amazing just how friendly the people of Northern Ireland were.

On to Saturday fine weather and fantastic racing supported by thousands of spectators packed around the circuit, after which the party carried on late into the night.

Sunday morning and up for breakfast and the ride home on the same fantastic biking roads about 700 miles covered in all.

What a fantastic weekend only spoilt by the tragic accidents involving Martin Finnegan and Robert Dunlop heroes both who will be sadly missed.

Cant wait for next years event and would recommend it to anyone intrested in anything to do with bikes.
