Cyril Despres to race in the UK

Cyril Despres, the Dakar Rally competitor and two-time winner, is coming to the UK to race in Wor Events ‘The Tough One’

After the cancellation of the 2008 Dakar organiser Steve Ireland has been sweet talking KTM to allow Despress to race in one of the toughest endurance races in the UK.

GNCC off-road racer Gordon Crockard will also be racing next to Despres and going up against three time winner and world Champ David Knight.

The race is to be held at Nantmawr Quarry, Oswestry in Shropshire on Saturday January 26.

The quarry is very intimate so spectators will be able to see most of the circuit from any position.

There will be three races throughout the day including a speed trial with competitors like Steve Colley taking part.

Entry is £15 per person, with under 5’s free.

Every vehicle will have a further parking fee of £10(car) £15(van/mini bus) so it really is in the interest of the spectators to fill the spaces in their cars.
